海沼ちあき Chiaki Kainuma

1995年東京生まれ。2018年多摩美術大学絵画学科油画専攻卒業。

雑コラやVaporwaveなどのネットカルチャーに影響を受けながら、資本主義社会での生活をテーマに絵画作品を制作する。

主な展覧会に個展「超カイヌマ原画展～ザ・ナイーブ・サンクチュアリ～」(新宿眼科画廊 東京 2023）、BANGKOK BIENNIAL2021 東京パビリオン「HOMETOWN TOKYO」(same gallery 東京 2021)、個展「システム設定神話　らくえんきょう」(新宿眼科画廊 東京 2023）、グループ展「EPIC PAINTERS Vol.13」(THE blank GALLERY 東京 2024）など。

作家ステートメント：
幼少期通っていた教会に置いてあった映画『夢のチョコレート工場』。
作中、子供がGOODまたはBADと評価される天秤に乗せられるシーンを観て思いました、
私はGOODかBADどちらと判断されるのだろう！と。
もちろんお菓子でできた庭を夢見た私はGOODと評価されるよう奮闘します。
日々私の脳の片隅にはチョコレートで出来た川が流れ、熊型グミが降っています。
しかしその庭はただ味付けが甘いだけで
源流を辿れば、チョコレートの川が血の川だった。
行動指針だったGOOD/BADの矢印はハリボテだった！
輝いて見えたお菓子は全て映画のセットだったのだと
気づいたのは最近のことです。

Born in 1995 in Tokyo, Japan, Chiaaki Kainuma graduated from Tama Art University in 2018 with a BFA in Oil Painting.

Influenced by internet culture such as miscellaneous collage and vaporwave, he creates paintings on the theme of life in a capitalist society.

Artist Statement:
The movie “The Chocolate Factory” was available at the church I attended as a child.
When I saw the scene in the movie where a child is put on a scale to be evaluated as GOOD or BAD, I thought to myself, “I wonder if I will be judged as GOOD or BAD!
I wondered if I would be judged as GOOD or BAD! I wondered.
Of course, I dreamed of a garden made of sweets, and I struggle to be evaluated as GOOD.
Every day, in the corner of my brain, there is a river made of chocolate and bear-shaped gummies raining down.
But that garden is just sweetened with flavor.
If you trace the source, the river of chocolate was a river of blood.
